RECIPE: Butterfly Pea Flower Rose Simple Syrup

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1/4 cup dried butterfly pea flowers
  • 1/4 cup dried rose petals

Instructions:

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, water, butterfly pea flowers, and rose petals.

  2. Place the saucepan over medium heat and stir occasionally until the sugar has completely dissolved.

  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes.

  4. Turn off the heat and let the mixture cool for 10-15 minutes.

  5. Strain the mixture through a fine-mesh sieve into a clean jar or container.

  6. Discard the solids and store the simple syrup in the refrigerator.

  7. Use the butterfly pea flower and rose petal simple syrup to sweeten and flavor cocktails, teas, lemonades, and other beverages. Enjoy!
